Hey all,
I’m going to keep this short and sweet, but just thought I’d let you know I’m still alive and working away. I’ve a couple of new articles up this week. The theme is peak experiences – a scientific term for moments in life that are so good they can transform your life. Or at least enable you to see the world differently in some small way. Natural wonders, personal connections, music and creative production or consumption, mass-scale euphoria at sporting or religious events and dancing are all common things that inspire peak experiences in people.

The article ties into my latest travel piece, where I continue my trip around Japan, and trying to get to the bottom of what I was doing in Japan in the first place (I reposted an article about snowboarding in Japan a few weeks ago but it was a couple of years old – this one is a bit more reflective and is part of the overall ‘story’. Let’s just say there’s a change a of tone in this one).

(this week’s is part 3)
Hope you enjoy. If you’ve any comments I’d love to hear what you think of any of it, things you’d like to see more or less of, or if any of the things I’m writing about resonate with you.
Will hopefully have loads more to share with you soon.
For now, take care,
Gav
